Manly P. Hall: The Wisdom of Psychological Folklore - Cinderella

This lecture is not so much about the story of Cinderella itself, but rather about folklore and wisdom stories in general, their purpose for both individuals and society, and how they have changed in recent years. Specifically, Hall presents Cinderella in terms of Carl Jung's 'anima' and 'animus'.
"The Cinderella Story in Psychological Folklore" was recorded on October 27, 1957.

The Disney "Cinderella" was released in 1950, and Joseph Campbell's "Hero with a Thousand Faces" was printed in 1949, so this would reflect the current interest in wisdom stories and symbolic mythology at the time. Another interesting and timeless lecture!
