At this time, many new therapeutic remedies were being offered and Mr. Hall takes time to pause and consider the implications. Today, this watchful eye remains more important than ever as we are constantly bombarded with commercials and advertisements for all types of pharmaceutical medicines, many of which list harmful side effects. Hall tries to balance the advancements made in modern medicine with truly helpful compounds, with the public's tendency to pop the latest pill, even for ailments that have other, safer means of healing.
