This lecture, "Dynamics of Simplicity: Freedom from the Tyranny of Complicated Thinking" was delivered to a live audience in Los Angeles on December 15, 1963. This came during a period of several years in which Manly Hall was particularly interested in Eastern philosophy, especially Zen and the simple way of approaching life. In contrast, life in the West and America had become much more complex and with it, came the psychological complexes with we are still afflicted to this day.
